Cow Close Cottages are based in Leyburn, which is a beautiful market town in Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales. We want our visitors to experience North Yorkshire in all its glory, so much that they will want to come back and see us again.
Our two properties are situated in a peaceful location surrounded by countryside with beautiful views, close to the market town of Leyburn, known as the Gateway to the Dales. Leyburn is within walking distance (1 mile) across a field footpath and has all the usual amenities of a market town.
Wensleydale is a really friendly place to visit. There is plenty to see and do; beautiful walks, waterfalls and castles to explore. There are lots of Yorkshire Dales villages and market towns to check out and plenty of hostelries and places to eat. For those keen on racing, it is possible to watch the horses on the gallops in Middleham, or visit nearby racecourses of Catterick, Ripon, Thirsk or York. For children (and adults) the Forbidden Corner is a must do, along with our local ice cream parlours Brymor and Wensledale Ice Cream.

We appreciate that you are on holiday and need your own space! We live on site in another property and we are on hand for help and advice if you need us.
